	=== RPG Maker 95 v 1.23xp ===

100% English Version by Stifu and Don Miguel

This pack includes the following files:
-rpg95.exe (v1.23xp)
-game.exe (v1.23)
-rpg95.hlp (v0.8)
-unlha32.dll

THE GOOD POINTS:
****************

This translation of RPG Maker 95 is better and more complete than
the previous one.
This time no new bug has been added, the only bugs it has are
coming from the original Japanese version.

For instance, the glitch from the previous English version which
made it so that you had to rename the extensions of your AVI files
to BMP is no more.

Among the improvements (from v1.02 to v1.23):

- RPG files don't get corrupt anymore (no more disappearing maps)
- Events using the "If.. Then Branch" feature don't get corrupt
  anymore.
- Program overall more stable and compatible, works with more OS.

And other various bug fixes...

Also, I managed to fix the "Setup Movement" feature,
which won't crash anymore under Windows XP.

Oh, and don't use the <Freeze Game> option in the movement
editor...
Because it will, hmm... Freeze the game. (hence its name)

Thanks to Don Miguel and Sasori for having made this possible !

THE BAD POINTS:
***************

This version of RPG Maker 95 still has 2 main flaws that
Don's version doesn't have:

1) I couldn't crack it. Meaning you can't create new game projects
unless you have the original RPG Maker 95 CD.
I doubt many of you got it...
That's why I included a New Game template download on my site.

2) I couldn't fix some bug in it, that ASCII introduced in v1.04.
Basically, this bug makes it so events that are vertically out
   of the screen can't move.
Most may not care about it, but a few do... Like Ok Impala. :P

Note:

Be aware that once you've modified your game with this version of
RPG Maker 95, you won't be able to open it with Don's old version
anymore.
This is easily fixable for those who have basic hexadecimal skills
though. (but if you don't, don't ask me)

By the way, although the program works with Windows XP, it's still
not working perfectly, and works better on Windows 9x OS.
You'll get a few minor problems under XP, such as:

- Fucked up text boxes colors
- Colors going all wrong sometimes
- Problems with some sounds and musics

(This probably also happens on other NT-based Windows systems)

And something else that doesn't work right...
The Magic and Item Editors.
If you're using Windows 2000, NT or XP, and try to change the type
of a magic or an item, the program will crash.

That's all !
